The Top Ten Must-See Places to Visit in London When Travelling there for Business
If you're heading into London on business for a couple of days then clearly you'll only get a limited amount of time to visit all of the famous tourist sights. It could be that you get to squeeze an hour here or 2 hours there between your conferences or meetings at the Travelodge or perhaps you get one day off in which to take in this interesting place. If that is the case, then either by taking a tour bus or one of the local double decker buses, make certain you get the opportunity to see the following ten sights:
1. Buckingham Palace. A journey to London will not be complete without seeing the house of the Royals, Buckingham Palace. It has housed many royal families. It hosts significant events in history, from local to world occasions. It is open to the public from August to September. Book early and be stupefied.
2. Tower of London. This is one of the world's most noted buildings. Visit the Tower of London and you will learn plenty about its 900-year old history. It's been famous for its crown jewels and also as an execution chamber.
3. Tower Bridge London. This is sometimes known as one of the greatest engineering accomplishment in the world. This has been open to the general public since 1982. Visit the Tower Bridge and experience its beauty.
4. St. Paul's Cathedral. One of the most popular and enthralling architectural structures in London, this has 530 steps from the Cathedral Floor to the Whisper Studio. This is also where famous crypts are housed, such as the crypt of the Duke of Wellington.
5. Windsor Castle. This is another fine architectural structure in London. In addition it is one of the dwellings of the Queen. It was the residence of the Brit Monarchy for over 900 years.
6. Trafalgar Square. Trafalgar Square is popular for its stone lions and pigeons. Here's where cultural shows are often held among other vital events. A superb Xmas tree is planted here during Yuletide.
7. Thames Stream Cruise. Along the banks of Thames River, famous landmarks can be seen, for example Houses of the Parliament, Enormous Ben, Canary Quay and others.
8. Madame Tussauds. Meet your favourite celebs and icons at Madame Tusssauds. The wax figures are like real persons. You can see wax figures of Michael Jackson, Jackie Chan, Kylie Minogue, Madonna and even the Queen.
9. London Eye. This just opened lately, nevertheless it has quickly become preferred among travellers. It is believed to be the highest observation wheel in the world. It can carry around 25 adults.
