Air Jordan 11
The Air Jordan 11 (XI) Retro – Black / Varsity Red – White were released on December 15, 2001, and brought the Air Jordan 11 (XI) Retro Black/Varsity Red-White aka Black/Red. With the popularity of the Air Jordan 11 and the Black/Red colorway, the Retro sold out within a couple days. MC Jordan wore this Air Jordan modelto help the Chicago Bulls claim the 1995-1996 NBA championship. The legacy of the shoe was transferred to the silver screen as Jordan wore a black/white/royal blue colorway of the Air Jordan XI model in the 1996 Warner Bros. animated movie "Space Jam".
They are the same as the original versions, with no visible changes. They are retro jordan shoes, as they feature an all black upper, which features a black patent leather at the base, along with a red Jumpman logo at the ankle, and a carbon fiber "23″ at the back heel. The white midsole and red, translucent outsole are both really nice touches that seem to grab your attention.
Besides having the looks down pact, some of the features of the shoe include a carbon fiber spring plate, ballistic nylon uppers, a Huarache inner sleeve, quick lace system, carbon fiber sheath and air sole. The only knock on the shoe is that they were not comfortable around the arch and midsole area. If Jordan was back, so was Tinker Hatfield. A terrific design with a new patent leather and the return of the clear rubber sole made the Air Jordan XI the most appreciated Air Jordan 11 ever released. It's perhaps the greatest industry-changing sneaker we'll ever see.
From a performance aspect, it introduced the world to carbon fiber as a midfoot rigidity system, and also featured a lightweight upper that relied on the once unseen patent leather for support and durability. Finally some pics of probably one of the most anticipated count down packs. These are the Air Jordan XI Black and Varsity Red. The second sneaker in this pack that will be releasing is the Air Jordan 12's which we don't have pictures of yet. This is by far going to be the biggest CDP release and they will be releasing sometime in December.
I'm definitely going to pick this pack up. From those who only casually followed footwear, to serious ballplayers that could be found anywhere, the combination of the shiny patent leather and a full-length translucent sole made for an unforgettable package. Adding to its legend was MJ's leading of the Bulls to Air Jordan 11.
