Michael Jordan - In 1987 MJ was unhappy with Doug Collins as head Coach! Doug wanted MJ to incorporate/trust his teamates....MJ was not pleased!...he told Jerry Kraus.." If he(Collins) stays...then I want to be traded! - won 6 chips
Magic Johnson - In 1982 Johnson stated
"I cannot play here anymore" and demanded to be traded. Buss instead fired Westhead (Who Buss thought was the cause of the problem) causing league-wide scorn against Johnson. For perhaps the first time in his career, Johnson found himself being booed by fans across the league, including his own Lakers fans! - won 5 chips!
Kareem Abdul Jabbar - Although Abdul-Jabbar always spoke well of Milwaukee and its fans, after a few seasons he said that being in the Midwest did not fit his cultural needs and requested a trade to either New York or Los Angeles in October, 1974....won 6 chips
